The most expensive steel is the one that gets rejected at the site. To ensure zero-rejection, every truck leaving our Sarkhej facility undergoes our proprietary 7-Point Quality Check.
1. Digital Weighbridge Calibration
We don't rely on estimations. Our weighbridge is calibrated monthly by third-party auditors. We provide a computerized weigh slip with time-stamps for every dispatch.
2. Section Measurement (The Vernier Check)
Our supervisors randomly sample beams using digital vernier calipers to measure Flange Width and Web Thickness. This ensures the material is within IS 1852 rolling tolerances.
3. Visual Rust Audit
While surface oxidation is normal for steel, heavy pitting or flaking rust is unacceptable. Any material showing deep atmospheric corrosion is segregated and sold as seconds, never mixed with prime orders.
4. Straightness & Camber
Beams that are bent or twisted during crane handling are rejected. We ensure "Sweep" and "Camber" are within standard limits for easy erection at the site.
5. Heat Number Verification
We physically check that the stamped Heat Number on the steel matches the MTC provided. No match, no load.
6. Safe Loading Protocol
We use wooden dunnage (blocks) between steel layers to prevent slippage and damage during transport. This also makes unloading safer for your site team.
7. Driver & Vehicle Compliance
For large infra sites, safety begins with the transporter. We verify the driver's license, vehicle insurance, and ensure they have basic PPE (Safety Shoes/Helmet) before entering our yard.
